My 'blogger' experience.

Chemtrailing has been quiet here over the past few days ( praise be to whoever controls such things......long may it last ), so I thought I'd pen a few lines about my experience of blogging with blogger. I've been blogging on this platform for about a week now so I think I've had time to assess it's strengths and weaknesses.

Text

I've had previous blogs and the 'new' blogger is a lot faster when writing text. You no longer have to control paragraphs with the
and
characters for example. What you write is what you see in the completed article. Adding captions to photographs is a lot quicker as well.
Spelling is still American English ( despite selecting UK English in preferences) so it highlights words like flavour or aluminium as spelling mistakes. US spelling is flavor and aluminum.
It doesn't recognise chemtrail as a 'real' word despite decades of use. Close your eyes and hope the word goes away attitude ?

Photos

Very slow to upload photographs. A couple of minutes rather than a couple of seconds to upload a 1Mb file. My broadband speed is consistent but whenever I try to upload a photo it's almost as if someone is looking at it and deciding whether it's ok or not. We used to call this the 'Sally Gunnell' approach. When I worked in the middle east all newspapers were censored and one in particular had Sally Gunnell, the British Olympic champion, holding up the Union Jack with her armpits blackened out with black marker pen. This was to protect her modesty and prevent us from getting too excited. Newspapers and books etc had to pass the Sally Gunnell test to get into the country.
Or maybe I'm just paranoid ?

Videos

This is the biggest failing with the new blogger platform. In 'old' blogger you could upload any youtube video you liked by copy and pasting the embed code of the video into your post. With this new platform you type in the video you want and blogger gives you a list of video to choose from. Often the video you want isn't on the list. You can copy the title of the video that you want word for word and it still won't be on the list.

Conclusions

In conclusion I'd say that the new blogger allows quicker posts to be written but that the posts are reduced in impact as you can't use the videos that you prefer. Plus the slow speed of picture uploads discourages you from using all the pictures that you would have liked.
It reminds me of driving a car with the windows covered in snow with a small gap to see where you're going. If the windscreen had been cleared before you left the house then you would get the total picture and be more aware of what's going on.
